Arsenal XI vs Standard Liege: Lineup and team news for today's Europa League game - Bellerin captain, no Ozil

Tom Doyle3 October 2019

Hector Bellerin starts and captains Arsenal tonight as the Gunners take on Standard Liege in the Europa League at Emirates Stadium.

Bellerin starts at right-back with Kieran Tierney on the left, but there is no room for Mesut Ozil in Unai Emery's matchday squad as speculation grows over the playmaker's future at the club.

Elsewhere, Rob Holding gets more game time at the back along with Shkodran Mustafi, while Emi Martinez starts in goal despite Bernd Leno's desire to play every game.

In midfield, Dani Ceballos, Lucas Torreira and Joe Willock look strong, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles afforded a rare chance to play further up the pitch on the right of a three-man front line also including Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal XI: Martinez; Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Tierney; Ceballos, Torreira, Willock; Maitland-Niles, Martinelli, Nelson

Subs: Leno, Chambers, Kolasinac, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Pepe, Aubameyang

Standard XI: Milikovic-Savic; Vojvoda, Vanheusden, Laifis, Gavory; Mpoku, Bastien, Cimirot, Boljevic, Lestienne; Emond

Subs: Bodart, Goreux, Lavalee, Carcela, Amallah, Fai, Avenatti
