On-loan Chelsea and Arsenal forwards Tammy Abraham and Reiss Nelson are pushing to start England’s final Under-21 European Championship qualifier against Scotland on Tuesday.

Nelson, on loan at Hoffenheim from Arsenal, came off the bench to score in the 7-0 win over Andorra on Thursday, while Chelsea’s Abraham, on loan at Aston Villa, was an unused substitute.

Both are in the frame to start in Edinburgh, along with West Brom’s loanee from Leicester Harvey Barnes and Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke, who also scored as a substitute last week.

Aidy Boothroyd’s young Lions head to Tynecastle having booked their spot at Euro 2019 and unbeaten in their last 34 qualifiers.
