Arsenal defensive duo Laurent Koscielny and Rob Holding didn't think Leicester deserved to be awarded the two penalties they were appealing for during the goalless draw between the two clubs on Saturday.

The Premier League champions were first left disappointed when referee Mark Clattenburg didn't point to the spot after Danny Drinkwater went down in the area following a lunging challenge by Koscielny in the first half of the game at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester fans were then incensed when Hector Bellerin's coming together with Ahmed Musa in the dying moments of the match also did not lead to a penalty kick.

But speaking about the incident that he was involved in, Koscielny said: "I think I toed the ball a little. I don't think it was a penalty."

He added: "Each player did the job well defensively. Leicester played very well in the counter-attack. We came back with a point."

Holding, who played alongside Koscielny in central defence for Arsenal, also spoke about Leicester's penalty claims, in particular, the challenge by Bellerin.

However, like Koscielny, the 20-year-old insisted Clattenburg was right to not award a late spot-kick.

"I think he went down hoping for it," Holding said. "I think it was the right decision.

"We wanted a clean sheet after conceding four goals last week. It was vital. Hopefully next week we can build on this, score some goals and win a game."
