Arsenal's Premier League match against Sunderland at Emirates Stadium has been scheduled for Wednesday May 20th.

The game was due to take place in April, but the Gunners' involvement in the FA Cup means Arsene Wenger's side won't be available on the original date.

The rearranged tie comes just four days before Arsenal's final game of the campaign away against West Brom.

May's match against the struggling Black Cats could prove pivotal for Wenger's men, after the Frenchman on Thursday refused to rule his side out of the title race.

He said: "At the moment we are too far away from Chelsea but we have the opportunity every week to get closer.

"We need positive results from us and negative results from Chelsea. That's the only thing we can master."
