Borussia Dortmund will consider big-money offers for star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but are not expecting the Gabon international to leave this month, according to the club's chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund, who currently lie second in the Bundesliga table, in recent months with Arsenal and Barcelona being touted as possible destinations for the 26-year-old.

The striker has impressed ever since switching Saint-Etienne in France for Dortmund, and is currently leading the goal-scoring charts in Germany with 20 strikes to his name.

The forward, who was recently named as African Footballer of the Year, dismissed speculation that he could be about to join Arsenal or Barcelona, but Dortmund's chief executive Watzke has admitted that the club would be willing to listen to a huge offer for Aubameyang - although the German side want to keep onto their star man.

"If an offer comes, then we need to discuss it," he told Sky.

"If it should go into the hundreds of millions, then we also need to talk to the player.

"But I'm not worrying about it because at the moment we want to keep him as long as possible, ideally beyond 2020."
