Former Barcelona winger Malcom claims the LaLiga leaders did not train very much while he was at the club.

The Brazilian attacker spent a sole season at Camp Nou in 2018-19, scoring four goals in 24 appearances before he was sold to Zenit Saint Petersburg last summer in a €45 million deal.

Speaking to Què t’hi jugues on Cadena SER, the 23-year-old apologised for not answering his phone earlier and when he was asked if he trained longer at Zenit, he said: "Yes, a lot more. Here we have double sessions."

"I think that's why I got injured," he added, laughing. "I was used to 40 to 50 minutes at Barcelona."

Reflecting on his time at Barca, he said: "I fulfilled a dream by playing with the best. And I have the feeling that I learnt a lot.

"I think I deserved more minutes, but it was a great learning experience."
