Bayern Munich will make no comment on the future of winger Franck Ribery prior to the Champions League final.
According to reports in Germany, Ribery is set to sign a new five-year contract with Bayern when he jets into Madrid for tomorrow's final against Inter Milan, a match the France international will miss through suspension.
The highly-rated playmaker is currently in training with his national team due to his ineligibility for tomorrow's match, but he has been given permission to attend the game where it is rumoured he will finally give his agreement to a new contract.
Bayern are keeping their cards close to their chest, though, with press chief Markus Horwick saying at today's pre-match press conference: "The club management will give no comment or declaration tomorrow or today.
"Transfer news is communicated by the management and not the journalists. We are concentrating on tomorrow's match - players, management and everybody else."
When asked about the reports that Ribery could be set to commit himself to the club, Bayern midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger said: "These are rumours. Of course Frank Ribery is an excellent player and we'd love to keep him but if the Bayern Munich management haven't said anything, I can't say anything."
Bayern coach Louis van Gaal also preferred to keep quiet on the subject, answering a reporter who asked if Ribery might already have played his last match for the club by saying simply: "You are a smart guy....but I'm also a smart coach."
Ribery's current contract is due to expire next year, but Bayern have been keen on extending that deal to ward off interest from other clubs this summer.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea have all expressed an interest in the 27-year-old, who has made it clear he would like to play for a club who can realistically challenge for Champions League glory every year.
Under Van Gaal, Bayern have proven to him that they are now in that category and this may well have tipped the scales in their favour.
Ribery has won two league titles and two domestic cups with Bayern since arriving three years ago.
