Harry Kane has scored 15 goals in his last ten games for both club and country, however, Bournemouth captain Simon Francis is relishing the chance to face him when they travel to Tottenham on Saturday.

The Cherries have a fairly rotten record against Spurs, and Kane has played no small part in that.

In their four Premier League meetings Spurs have won three, drawn one and racked up 12 goals, with Kane scoring half of them.

Francis is under no illusions as to Kane’s quality, but thinks players would have to be in the wrong profession to not enjoy facing him.

“Harry [Kane] is not shy of goals against us that is for sure, but that is our job to keep him out," Francis told The Mirror.

“If you do not enjoy these challenges, you are in the wrong profession. The lads love these kind of games against big teams away from home — and we have caused upsets before.

“He is the best striker I have come across in the Premier League and on his day he is world class.

“He has got that ability and is quickly getting to where you can talk about him in the same breath as [Lionel] Messi, [Cristiano] Ronaldo, [Luis] Suarez and Neymar. With his goal-scoring record alone you have to put him in that bracket.”

It will take a strong performance from the Cherries to keep the England striker at bay this weekend, however, Francis knows if they can manage it then Eddie Howe’s side have a chance of getting a result.

“If you go there and keep him quiet, you have a chance of getting something because he is at the forefront of everything Spurs do.

“It is great to play against these types of players and you can test yourself to see how good you are.

“Spurs are absolutely on fire. For me them, Manchester United and Manchester City are the top three teams in the country.

“But teams have gone to Spurs and got results. Swansea went there and defended excellently and we might have to do a similar job to get something out of the game.”
