Brentford’s Daniel Bentley has been labelled the best 'keeper outside of the Premier League by Millwall manager Neil Harris.

Bentley saved a late penalty from Lee Gregory as Brentford beat Millwall 1-0 at Griffin Park in the Championship on Saturday.

Harris said: “If Lee puts the penalty away then we wouldn’t be talking about this. We should have been clinical and ruthless enough to have got something.

"That said, Bentley is the best keeper outside the Premier League, so you have to find something special to beat him."

A goal from Romaine Sawyers gave Brentford their first win at Griffin Park this season.

Bees manager Dean Smith said: "Our character has never been in question for me and it’s nice to get the first win at home, which we can use as a springboard.

"I was really pleased to get over the line. We needed that at home for our supporters and the last half an hour turned into a proper derby."
