Jordan Spence's late header secured a dramatic 4-3 victory for high-flying Ipswich as they maintained their 100 per cent start to the Sky Bet Championship at Millwall.

The Tractor Boys have now made their best start to a campaign since they last won promotion to the Premier League 17 years ago and this third straight win will be even sweeter after Millwall thought they had snatched a point.

Jed Wallace fired Millwall ahead inside 44 seconds, but Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn turned the game around for Ipswich before Aiden O'Brien equalised for the hosts.

Waghorn added his second on the stroke of half-time before Tom Elliott levelled again with 10 minutes left, only for Spence to nod in David McGoldrick's free-kick in the 88th minute.

Elsewhere, and last season's play-off semi-finalists Fulham remain without a Championship win this season after sharing an entertaining goalless draw with Leeds at Elland Road.

Slavisa Jokanovic's side overturned an eight-point deficit in the final month of last season to take Leeds' top-six place but they are showing signs of a hangover at the start of this term.

Fulham dominated large parts of the first half but Chris Wood, the Championship's top goalscorer in 2016-17, saw the best chance saved by David Button on a one-on-one.

Sone Aluko and Neeskens Kebano were denied in similar situations in the second period and Leeds had their moments in a thrilling finale.

The teams could not be separated, though, as United were forced to settle for back-to-back 0-0 draws in front of their own fans.

Finally, Brentford saw victory at home to Bristol City snatched from their hands after Bobby Reid's 98th-minute goal secured a late 2-2 draw.

Josh Brownhill had opened the scoring for the visitors in the fifth minute before Ollie Watkins' back-post header and Neal Maupay's 77th-minute shot looked to have given Brentford a 2-1 win.

But when Reid equalised in the ninth minute of added time, the hosts were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.
