QPR are in talks to sign defender Lee Wallace after completing a deal for Liam Kelly.

After being appointed as QPR’s new manager this summer, Mark Warburton is keen to add to his squad and the Scottish duo are expected to be his first signings.

Former Brentford boss Warburton knows the pair from his time at Rangers and talks are now well underway to bring Wallace to Loftus Road after Kelly joined for an undisclosed fee.

Left-back Wallace is available on a free transfer after his contract expired at Rangers and would be keen to work with Warburton again.

The 31-year-old would add experience to QPR’s squad having made over 250 appearances for Rangers in his eight years there.

Warburton also knows goalkeeper Kelly from his time at Rangers, going onto shine at Livingston.

The 23-year-old moved there last summer and a clause in his contract meant he could leave the club for just £50,000.
