Charlton boss Jose Riga’s fears for Chris Solly

Standard Sport21 March 2014

Charlton manager Jose Riga does not know when Chris Solly will return from injury.

Right-back Solly has been suffering with a knee problem this season and has not played since January. The 23‑year‑old hopes to be back in action next month but Riga admits it could be longer.

“It is difficult to have a prognosis and say he’ll be back in two or three weeks,” said Riga. “I have seen videos of him and he can add real quality to the squad.”

Charlton moved out of the Championship relegation zone with victory against Bournemouth on Tuesday and have three games on hand on their rivals.

They host Burnley tomorrow and defender Dorian Dervite said: “Burnley will be hard but we are ready for it and have got more confidence after the Bournemouth win.”
