Carlo Ancelotti is adamant Sami Khedira will not be sold by Real Madrid to Chelsea or Arsenal in January.
The Real Madrid coach is determined to make sure the German international stays at the Bernabeu for the rest of the season, even if he doesn't sign an extension to his current deal which expires at the end of the season.
However, they are prepared to bring those plans forward should their London rivals, who tried to buy Khedira during the last transfer window, make another move to bring him to Emirates Stadium.
Manchester United have also joined the hunt amid suggestions the Real Madrid board would prefer to cash in rather than allow him to leave on a free.
However, Ancelotti has ruled out such a switch in January and hasn't given up convincing Khedira to stay, despite the midfielder already rejecting two new offers.
He said: "We have until June to reach an agreement with him. If he wants to sign an extension, the club will renew him. If not, he will leave the team at the end of the season."

Khedira could feature at Liverpool in the Champions League group game in midweek having recovered from the knee injury which has sidelined him since September.
He was an unused substitute in the team's 5-0 victory at Levante on Saturday and Ancelotti added: "Khedira has come back really well, he trained with the squad and he's ready to play. Of course he's not in optimal condition after missing the last 40 days, but he's an important player for us."
