Jose Mourinho believes that Leicester's ballboys were a 'disgrace' to the Premier League during Chelsea's 2-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium.

Goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez moved the Foxes back to the top of the table and consigned the reigning champions to their ninth defeat of the season.

The Blues are now just one point above the relegation zone after 16 games and Mourinho has admitted that his side can no longer secure a top-four finish this term.

Although the Portuguese tactician was adamant Claudio Ranieri's side deserved to win Monday night's game he also questioned the efficiency of the ballboys who surrounded the pitch.

“They [Leicester] fought with everything, they defended with everything, and the ballboys were amazing too,” Mourinho told Chelsea’s official website.

“I say the point about the ballboys because it’s a disgrace for the Premier League, but I want to make it clear I don’t want that story to be in front of a result Leicester deserved.”

Loic Remy's late header gave Chelsea hope that they could rescue a point but Leicester successfully closed the game out to secure their 10th win of the season.
