Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has revealed Pedro's injury sustained in the 1-0 Europa League win over PAOK is not as serious as first feared.

The 31-year-old was involved in an accidental collision with goalkeeper Alexandros Paschakalis in stoppage time after being pushed by Omar El Kaddouri.

After using all three substitutions, Chelsea finished the game with 10 men as Pedro walked off with what looked to be a serious arm injury.

However, Sarri confirmed after the game that the Spaniard had picked up a shoulder injury and his initial impression suggested it wouldn't keep him out for long.

"It is probably not a very serious injury," the Italian coach told reporters in his post-match press conference.

"I don’t know exactly the situation. I spoke (with Pedro) for a few seconds, but probably it is not a serious injury."

Sarri will be hoping Pedro can make a quick recovery in time to make the Chelsea squad as the Blues face West Ham on Sunday at the London Stadium.

However, Eden Hazard was rested for the tie against PAOK and the Belgian is poised to return to the starting line-up for the local derby. That means Willian could deputise against West Ham if Pedro does not recover in time.
