Chelsea drink in the farce chance saloon

6 December 2012

Without wishing to riff on Chelsea’s pain any harder than is absolutely necessary, each day appears to further the impression that the club have disappeared through the looking glass.

Rafa Benitez’s troubled tenure was only three matches old when he began to be undermined by rumours that Avram Grant is returning to replace him.

Is this actually a football club any more, or a piece of experimental performance art on the theme of money-drunkenness? Madness, it is. Madness, madness, madness.
