Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has warned PSG that Stamford Bridge will turn into an intimidating cauldron of noise during Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg in west London.

The Blues have a mountain to climb after falling to a 3-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes last Wednesday, but Sagna believes the home support could prove a telling factor.

The France international recently travelled with the Gunners across London to face the Blues in a demoralising 6-0 Premier League defeat and has since told the Ligue 1 champions to expect the 40,000-capacity Stadium to produce the volume of double that number.

"Stamford Bridge is intimidating. The pitch is small and the spectators are very close," Sagna said.

"There is a lot of intimidation and agitation. You really hear the chants and whistles. There are not many, but they noise is like they were twice as many."

Meanwhile, former Arsenal favourite Robert Pires has back Laurent Blanc's side to protect their two-goal advantage and advance to the last four for the first time since 1995.

"The PSG players will need to hear the support of their fans. They will be pressurised immediately and encouragement of their fans will be very important," Pires said.

"This allows you to get your head above water in face of the pressure created inside the stadium."
