Chelsea's Supporters' Trust says managerial stability is seen as more important than winning trophies on a consistent basis, results from a members survey have shown.

Since Roman Abramovich's takeover in 2003, the Blues have enjoyed a period of unprecedented success, winning four Premier League titles, two European crowns and a host of domestic cups.

Managers have come and gone at a rapid rate, though, with current boss Jose Mourinho in his second spell and as such the 10th coach to serve the Russian.

With Chelsea struggling in their title defence this season, Mourinho's position has come under scrutiny, but in its annual survey, the club's Supporters' Trust has outlined a desire for stability - although it should be noted the survey was carried out in May.

"Management stability and progressing home grown players through to the first team are seen as more important than attractive football and consistently winning silverware," the Trust said.

Reporting the results of a survey of its members, with scores out of five, the Trust gave 'giving a manager time to implement a plan' a score of 4.59 with 'winning trophies every season' rated at 3.29.
