Chelsea target Jules Kounde posts cryptic Instagram story as ‘Barcelona hijack transfer’

Chelsea and Barcelona target Jules Kounde has posted about "achieving dreams" and not missing out on opportunities as the two clubs battle to sign the Sevilla defender.

Standard Sport reported on Friday that the Blues appeared to have a clear run at the centre-back as they worked on a £55million deal Sevilla, with Barca appearing to admit defeat in their pursuit.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta was even recorded telling a fan on Thursday that Kounde was heading to Stamford Bridge.

However, reports in the Catalan press on Saturday morning claimed Barca were back in for Kounde and had even agreed a deal in principle with Sevilla for the player.

It is understood that the France international's first-choice destination between the two clubs is Camp Nou.

Kounde has also agreed a five-year deal with Chelsea, and will have no trouble reaching terms with Barca, so amid the madness, he has turned to Instagram.
