Euro 2016 is set to begin later this week but plenty of football fans are focused on the transfer market rather than the tournament in France.

Of course, all that could change by Saturday night if England dispatch Russia and belief in Roy Hodgson's side suddenly goes through the roof.

But, for now, supporters of Premier League clubs could be excused for putting the Three Lions to one side as they have much to mull over because the rumour mill has cranked up a notch in the last day or two.

New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is never far away from a headline and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is said to be keen on a reunion with the Portuguese tactician.

Matic is even reported to have told incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte that he wants to move to Old Trafford this summer.

Meanwhile, United and Chelsea target John Stones has been told he won't be allowed to leave Everton this summer.

The England international was the subject of several bids from Stamford Bridge last summer but the Toffees are sticking to their guns and remain determined to hang on to one of their prize assets for a second year in a row.
