The summer transfer window slams shut on Tuesday evening and, with less than 72 hours remaining, it's expected to be busier than Black Friday in the football world!

Chelsea’s summer-long pursuit of Everton centre back John Stones looks to be reaching its conclusion, and it may be that Jose Mourinho’s men have to look elsewhere in the dying days of the window.

The next target on Roman Abramovich’s shopping list is highly-rated Brazilian centre half Marquinhos, according to reports in France. The PSG centre-half cost a hefty fee of over £20 million when the French champions made a move for him in 2013.

But after seeing bids worth over £30 million rejected by Everton might Mourinho’s focus be shifting elsewhere?

In other stories Arsenal continue their hunt for a new striker, whilst Daniel Levy is likely to continue his habit of late trolley dashes, with a move for Victor Wanyama expected.

Here’s the latest news from the final hours of the transfer window.
