Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and Willian don't trust Alvaro Morata, says Ruud Gullit

Former Chelsea manager Ruud Gullit claims Willian and Eden Hazard "don't trust" team-mate Alvaro Morata.

Morata has had a difficult start to the Premier League campaign, scoring twice in eight appearances, and manager Maurizio Sarri has favoured Olivier Giroud as the focal point of his attack in some fixtures this term.

The Spain international was handed a start against Manchester United on Saturday and had a great chance to double Chelsea's lead just two minutes after the restart when he wriggled past Chris Smalling but fired straight at David De Gea.

His miss proved crucial as Anthony Martial turned the game on its head with a smartly-taken brace before Sarri hauled Morata off after 79 minutes with Chelsea chasing the game.

Giroud was thrown on and the Blues went on to snatch a late point as substitute Ross Barkley fired past De Gea from close range for his first Chelsea goal at Stamford Bridge.

And Gullit believes team-mates are intentionally choosing not to bring Morata into play.

"[Morata's] team-mates don't come into any positions where they create anything for him," Gullit told beIN SPORTS.

"The worst part is you can see Willian and Hazard always dribble inside because they don't trust him.

"But also when the crosses are in, I think there was a moment in the first half where you asked 'where is Morata', he wasn't there. So they don't trust him."

Speaking about his form recently, Morata admitted he "could be happier" at Stamford Bridge.

He said: "Within football I would like to be happier and for that I have to score more goals, which is what makes me happy. But I am sure that little by little they will enter, because I am having occasions."
