Chelsea have yet to make an official approach for Maurizio Sarri as the Napoli coach considers a move to Zenit St Petersburg.
Sarri is among a number of coaches that are being considered as possible replacements for Antonio Conte, who is expected to leave this summer.
But time is running out hire Sarri before his £7million release clause at Napoli runs out.
Sarri’s agent, Alessandro Pellegrini, said: “We haven’t received any offers from Chelsea, Tottenham, AC Milan or Zenit. Is it possible that Sarri leaves Napoli? To secure the services of my client, a club has to pay the release clause.”
Chelsea have compiled a lengthy wish-list of potential successors to Conte, with Fulham’s Slavisa Jokanovic increasingly admired.
Conte has consistently spoken about his desire to see out the remaining year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
