Bayern Munich will not sell Arturo Vidal to Chelsea in the winter transfer window, according to head coach Jupp Heynckes.

Vidal recently found himself linked with a move to Chelsea, where he would be re-united with Antonio Conte who coached the midfielder at Juventus between 2011 and 2014.

When asked about the rumours, Conte refused to say whether Chelsea were interested in signing the 30-year-old but did label the Chile international as "one of the best in the world".

Vidal is contracted to Bayern Munich until 2019, and Heynckes has insisted the player will not be allowed to leave the club in January.

Speaking to reporters at Bayern's training camp in Qatar

, he said: "Certainly, there's been no contact between the clubs [Chelsea and Bayern].

"It's just speculation.

"Arturo Vidal is very motivated, he's a top player and we need him at his very best if Bayern is to play well.

"We won't sell any players in the [transfer] window."
