Chelsea transfer news: Blues have shown Petr Cech 'respect' but Arsenal 'should have made an offer', says agent

Cech Mate: But agent is still encouraging Arsenal and Liverpool to move

Petr Cech has come to terms with losing his place in Chelsea's first team to Thibaut Courtois and is happy to stay for the rest of the season.

While Cech's agent Viktor Kolar is encouraging Liverpool and Arsenal to make a bid for his services in the summer, he reveals the 32-year-old is content with the way manager Jose Mourinho is treating him at Stamford Bridge and is not looking to leave next month.

Cech has played eight times this term despite now being employed as back-up to Courtois.

And Kolar said: "Petr still has the ambition to play as many matches as possible. But it´s impossible now. However, he has a good feeling from the overall attitude towards him.

"The club show him respect, they treat him in the same way as he would if he was first choice.

"He does not feel any difference [in the attitude of the coaching staff] between him and Courtois, which is important for him.

"The agreement is – and Jose fulfils it so far – that Petr should get his chance to maintain match sharpness.

"I am sure it is a big advantage for a manager when he has two top keepers."

While Kolar concedes that it's unlikely that his client will leave Stamford Bridge next month, he admits that interest from either Arsenal or Liverpool would be tempting to Cech.

Kolar said: “It’s unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window. The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title. I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would be considering it.

“Liverpool need to strengthen their position in goal and they know Petr will be available in the summer.

“We’ve been in contact with Real Madrid, but they don’t need a keeper just now.”
