Juan Cuadrado’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, wants to meet with Chelsea today as he seeks further assurances over his client’s future.
Despite assurances from Jose Mourinho that the winger is a key part of his plans for next season, Cuadrado needs more convincing after struggling to settle at Stamford Bridge.
The Colombia international failed to make an impact after joining Chelsea from Fiorentina for £26.1m in January.
Cuadrado started just four times, making 14 appearances in all and looked a shadow of the player that impressed at the World Cup last summer.
Juventus and Inter Milan are monitoring the situation in the hope they can lure him back to Serie A on loan.
However, earlier this month Mourinho made his feelings clear on the subject, saying: “Cuadrado is not going anywhere this summer.
“People don’t know Cuadrado yet, I have seen him many times when we were both in Italy, me at Inter and him at Udinese.”
