Borussia Dortmund captain Mats Hummels has admitted he doesn't know whether he will remain at the club amid reported interest from several Premier League clubs.

The 27-year-old has just over a year left on his current contract at Dortmund, which has resulted in the defender being linked with a summer move to Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in recent months.

Dortmund face a challenge to win the Bundesliga this season, as the club sit seven points behind leaders Bayern Munich, and Hummels has admitted that his desire to secure silverware could lead to him leaving the German side for a new challenge.

"I don't necessarily want to [leave], but I have to make a big decision. I have been back and forth a lot," he told German publication Bild.

"Age gives you a feeling that you don't have for ever to win. I realise in every year I don't win a title, I'm closer to retiring.

"I've spoken to Ilkay Gundogan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan over their thoughts. The Champions League is a target for me in any case. I want to win this title."
