Chelsea troll Tottenham by appearing to mock Premier League position on Twitter

Chelsea have trolled rivals Tottenham with a not-so-subtle dig at the north Londoners’ fall from grace this season.

A comfortable win over Crystal Palace on Saturday saw the Blues climb into third place in the Premier League - where they remain after Manchester City’s defeat to league leaders Liverpool on Sunday evening.

Tottenham meanwhile laboured to a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United and are now without a win in their last five Premier League matches, leaving them 14th in the table.

Happy to rub their rivals’ noses in it, Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted a picture of the league table as it stands heading into the final international break of 2019 – one that conveniently leaves their rivals rock-bottom.

At this point in the Premier League campaign last year, Spurs were fourth in the league on 27 points, nearly double their tally this season.

Tottenham and Chelsea meet in the league on 22 December.
