Chelsea vs Leicester: Beating the Foxes will show fans Blues are getting back to their best - Willian

1/24

Willian believes Chelsea can show their fans they are slowly but surely getting back to their best form when the Blues host champions Leicester City on Sunday.

Desposed Premier League holders Chelsea will welcome former boss Claudio Ranieri and his title-winning side Leicester to Stamford Bridge today, with the Blues aiming to say farewell to their supporters with a win, which would cement their position in ninth place in the table.

Despite having lost the reverse fixture 2-1 in December, a loss that spelled the end for Jose Mourinho, Chelsea will be confident of securing a result over the Foxes after holding Liverpool to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night.

Willian understands the importance of the Blues finishing off the campaign with a victory, but insists the players must be at their best to beat a Leicester side boasting of 11 away wins this term.

"It [victory] can show Chelsea are getting closer to being back at the level we want to be at, no doubt," the Brazilian told Chelsea's official website.

"We have to finish well. We are playing at home as well. Of course they are already champions but we were champions last season and we have to show that quality to try to win the game."

He added: "They have played every game like it is a final. That’s why they are champions in my opinion. They have a great team, they have quality in the squad and they deserve to win the Premier League."
