Chelsea vs Peterborough: Travel advice as tube strike disrupts Stamford Bridge FA Cup clash

Chelsea fans are being advised to plan their journeys ahead of Sunday's FA Cup meeting with Peterborough at Stamford Bridge as a 24-hour Tube strike threatens to cause travel chaos.

Thousands of Tube commuters face major travel disruption as strike action looks set to cripple the London Underground network from Sunday.

The strike is not due to start until 6pm on Sunday and TFL are confident fans will experience a normal service getting to the game, but have warned Underground services will likely be reduced as fans head home.

A message on the Chelsea website warns fans that there will likely be 'queues of up to 60 minutes' to get into local Tube stations Imperial Wharf and West Brompton.

Supporters who wish to avoid the Tube completely are advised to use the following services:

  • Kensington Olympia, 30 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
  • Shepherd's Bush, 45 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge

OVERGROUND TRAINS

  • Wandsworth Town, 30 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
  • Kensington Olympia, 34 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
  • Putney, 40 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
  • Clapham Junction, 45 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
  • Shepherd's Bush, 45 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
  • Victoria, 50 minutes walking distance from Stamford Bridge
