Chelsea won't be afraid of me, insists Jose Mourinho

11 April 2012

Jose Mourinho does not think Chelsea will be scared of facing his Inter Milan side in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Both teams top their domestic leagues but the former Blues boss said: "I exclude the possibility Chelsea are afraid of Inter because they are a winning group who have played together since 2004.

"At the most they might curse fortune, which could have given them an easier opponent than us."

Mourinho believes his inside knowledge of Chelsea would help him ahead of the first leg on 24 February at the San Siro.

"I won't need to study them. With the addition of Branislav Ivanovic and Nicolas Anelka, they are my old team," he said. "But I might go and see a game during the Serie A winter break."
