Chelsea lineup vs Burnley: Latest team news, injury list and starting XI

James Olley11 January 2020

Frank Lampard made nine changes for Chelsea’s FA Cup win against Nottingham Forest so his strongest line-up would be fresh for today's Premier League visit of Burnley.

Kepa Arrizabalaga returns in goal, while Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger are back to bolster the defence - though Christian Pulisic misses out after picking up an injury during training, with Callum Hudson-Odoi coming in.

Marcos Alonso is not risked with a glute injury, although Lampard has previously played down the severity of the issue.

Ross Barkley scored against Forest and keeps his place ahead of Mateo Kovacic.

Tammy Abraham returns to lead the attack after Michy Batshuayi was preferred against Forest – underlining that Olivier Giroud is surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave this month if Chelsea can bring in a replacement.
