Chelsea to face Malmo in Uefa Europa League last-32 stage

Chelsea will face Malmo in the Europa League round of 32.

The Blues made light work of Group L on their passage to the knockout stages, conceding just three goals and dropping their only points in a 2-2 draw in Hungary against MOL Vidi after they had already guaranteed top spot.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are the bookmaker’s favourite to triumph in a competition they last won in 2013, beating Benfica in the final.

So far the competition has been used by Sarri to blood youngsters and give squad players game time, with Olivier Giroud flourishing in recent weeks and scoring four in his last three games. Ruben Loftus-Cheek also netted a hat-trick in the 3-1 home win over BATE Borisov.

Chelsea will play their first leg away from home on February 14 and will host their opponents at Stamford Bridge a week later.
