PSG captain Thiago Silva has said if Chelsea's Eden Hazard signed for the French side he'd be 'very welcome'.
Silva was speaking ahead of the last-16 Champions League first leg at home to the Premier League leaders on Tuesday night.
He explained that he had been an admirer of the Belgian winger and added that he would suit the PSG side.
There had been reports linking Hazard with a move away from London to Paris but the player quashed any chance of that happening when he signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
"He is not just good, he is very good. If he really comes, [he] will be very welcome," said Silva.
The Brazilian defender added that if PSG are to take step closer to winning European football's biggest prize for the first time in their history, they would need to avoid a repeat of last year's exit in the last-16 when a last minute strike from Demba Ba sent Chelsea through to the next round on away goals.
He said: "We learn a lot from all defeats, one important thing is always remember is that until the referee stops, the match is not done yet. In the last match [against Chelsea] we thought our team was already qualified.
"All their players are very accomplished, but I believe the Brazilians always make the difference, plus Hazard."
Thiago Silva was speaking to Nissan, the official automotive sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, as part of his role as the car manufacturer’s global ambassador.
