Claude Davis needs to learn a lesson

When the dust had settled from another unlucky day for Crystal Palace, the fact remains it was Claude Davis who ultimately cost them a crucial point in the controversial 3-2 defeat at Sheffield United.

Sure, Palace were hard done by with a dreadful penalty award against them, after their own soft spot-kick had been dispatched by Neil Danns.

Sure it was understandable Owen Garvan should open his mouth too much in protest and got an angry straight red from bungling ref Andy Taylor.

Sure they had another terrible decision against them when Ged Evans' equaliser of James Vaughan's goal was seen to be a couple of yards offside.

By then Davis, already sent off twice this season and banned for bookings, had earned praise for his rearguard action.

So why did he senselessly shove over Daniel Bogdanovic for the clearest of penalty demands?

Bogdanovic tucked it away himself but how many more indiscretions will Davis be allowed before inviting him on his way. His flashpoints are not helping....
