Coventry can stay at Ricoh Arena rent free

Coventry City have been told they can play at the Ricoh Arena rent free next season.

The League One club, who are in administration, have been locked in a 16-month rent dispute with Arena Coventry Limited, which runs the stadium.

Last month, Coventry revealed they were considering leaving the Rioch and ground-sharing for three years while they built a new stadium.

But ACL, which is part owned by Coventry City Council, has today offered a solution.

News of that came as it was reported that ACL is one of six parties bidding to buy the club.
