Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea: Thomas Tuchel addresses transfer interest in fan video

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has responded to a fan asking about the potential signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has decided he wants to leave Manchester United, less than a year after returning to the club in a shock reunion last summer.

The 37-year-old has reportedly been less than impressed by United's transfer actively in comparison to rivals and does not want to miss out on playing Champions League football for the first time in two decades.

Chelsea have been made favourites to sign Ronaldo by most bookmakers, with new co-owner Todd Boehly last month meeting the superstar's agent to discuss a variety of topics including the Portugal international.

Amid reports that Thomas Tuchel remains unconvinced over a move for Ronaldo, on Sunday night a video appeared on social media which showed the Chelsea manager's coy response to a possible transfer.

Asked by a Chelsea fan if Ronaldo will join, Tuchel smiles and responds: "I will not tell you."

Tuchel does have one forward set to sign, though. Chelsea are expected to announce the £50million signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City this week, with the forward completing his medical on Sunday evening.
