Winner: N'Doye taps into an empty net

Crystal Palace produced probably their worst performance under Alan Pardew as Hull won 2-0 at Selhurst Park to stay above the relegation zone.

This was an afternoon to forget for Palace, who made sure of safety weeks ago but were well below-par against a Hull side fighting for Premier League survival.

Dame N'Doye scored twice in the second half to give Hull a deserved win that leaves Steve Bruce’s side one point above the bottom three.

Palace looked lethargic and have now suffered back-to-back defeats.

Hull, without a win in six before today, were desperate for a win to pull away from the bottom three and the away side enjoyed the better of a goalless first half.

Palace were fortunate not to concede a penalty when Glenn Murray handled inside the area and N'Doye missed a golden opportunity to put Hull ahead early on.

Julian Speroni made a wonderful one-handed save to deny Tom Huddlestone as Hull started to dominate. Jake Livermore went close shortly before half time but Hull deservedly went ahead seven minutes into the second half.

Robbie Brady appeared to handle as he crossed for N'Doye to tap into an empty net from close range but Palace could have few complaints about falling behind.

Hull had a great chance to double their lead moments later but N'Doye dragged a shot wide when he should have scored. Steve Bruce had his head in his hands again when Hull were denied a penalty by referee Mark Clattenburg.

Pardew brought on Chung-yong Lee for his debut but Palace did not improve.

They had the ball in the net when substitute Yaya Sanogo headed home but Clattenburg adjudged him to have fouled Hull defender Paul McShane.

It looked a poor decision but it would have been harsh on Hull, who sealed the win through N'Doye in injury time.
