Yohan Cabaye is set to sign a four-year deal with Crystal Palace.

The France midfielder is expected to move to Selhurst Park subject to a medical after Palace agreed a club record fee with PSG that could rise to more than £12million with add-ons.

The transfer, which sees the 29-year-old reunited with his former boss at Newcastle, Alan Pardew, demonstrates Palace’s ambition to establish themselves as a top-10 side in the Premier League.

Cabaye would be Palace’s first summer signing but more arrivals are expected.

The club's co-chairman Steve Parish said this week: 'It would be a massive thing for the club obviously, because he's a seasoned international.'
