Crystal Palace have been drawn to face Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the 2016-17 FA Cup.

The Eagles will be attempting to go one better this season after falling at the last hurdle against Manchester United at Wembley in May.

Alan Pardew led his side to a first FA Cup final in 26 years and Jason Puncheon's late strike had Palace on course to lift the trophy before Juan Mata forced extra-time and Jesse Lingard hit a stunning a winner.

That impressive run to the final came alongside a difficult run in the Premier League for Palace as they slipped to within touching ditance of the bottom three and narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship.

They have started this Premier League season in similar fashion and will hope the FA Cup can offer more success after defeat to Southampton in the EFL Cup earlier this year ended that avenue to silverware.

Third round fixtures will be played across the weekend of January 6-9, 2017
