Crystal Palace rightfully seventh in the Premier League, says Alan Pardew

Alan Pardew wants Crystal Palace to become consistent as they look to challenge the established order in the Premier League.

Palace beat Newcastle 5-1 at Selhurst Park and sit seventh going into December and Pardew, who celebrated his 100th win as a Premier League manager, said: “We would be silly to ignore where we are. It is not the first four games so there is a reason why we are there, but we have got to try to keep that consistency.”

Pardew has also offered his support to under pressure Newcastle boss Steve McClaren. He said: “I have been in Steve’s position and it is a tough role but he is tough enough to be able to deal with it.”
