Crystal Palace are involved in a three-way fight to sign Bournemouth defender Steve Cook.

The centre-back, who is valued between £2million and £3m, has been a key figure in the Cherries' Championship campaign, which sees them third in the table, two points below leaders Derby.

Palace boss Neil Warnock is keen to sign a centre-back in January although with Bournemouth going so well, they are likely to do everything they can to keep Cook at the club.

Palace, West Brom and Leicester have been following Cook's progress closely and are ready to make their move when the transfer window opens next month.

Cook, 23, has made 21 appearances this season and will fall under the spotlight later this month when Bournemouth take on Liverpool in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals.
