Why isn't Crystal Palace vs Newcastle live on TV in the UK today?

Newcastle will continue their quest to qualify for Europe at Crystal Palace tonight.

Eddie Howe’s side crashed out of the Champions League at the first round earlier this season but are targeting a spot in the Europa League for next term, a competition they would surely fancy their chances of winning.

But Newcastle’s poor away form, with just four league wins on the road all season, will need to be improved on as they head to south London.

Crystal Palace have won back-to-back games for the first time under Oliver Glasner and demolished West Ham on the weekend, netting four times in the opening half hour.

This evening’s 8pm BST kick-off in the Premier League will not be available to watch on TV in the UK.

Originally, Palace were due to entertain the Toon in mid-March but it was postponed due to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

It was initially set for the 3pm Saturday blackout for local broadcast and not selected for TV coverage.

From 2025, Sky Sports and TNT Sports will have the rights to show every game that isn’t played during the blackout. However, the existing TV rights agreement limits the number of matches they can show.
