Jeffrey Schlupp says Crystal Palace are targeting another ‘special’ trip to Wembley after booking their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals - but admits they may need a favourable draw to get there.

Schlupp opened the scoring in the Eagles’ comfortable 2-0 win at League One Doncaster on Sunday afternoon to leave the club one win from a semi-final at the national stadium, where they lost the cup final three years ago, but won promotion to the Premier League in 2013.

With 13 top-flight sides out of the competition before this weekend’s fifth round, the cup was looking as open as it has done for many years.

However, a lack of upsets mean six of the final eight sides will be Premier League outfits, with only London rivals Millwall and Championship Swansea representing considerably easier draws, on paper at least.

"We obviously knew if we got past this round, we'd be in a good position to get to Wembley," Schlupp said.

"Of course this is a special tournament and hopefully with the luck of the draw we might get a 'lesser' team, if that's what you want to call it, to have a better chance of getting through.

“But obviously any trip to Wembley is special and hopefully we can do that."
