David Beckham is in the running to play against Barcelona tonight despite a disappointing performance in the first leg of Paris St-Germain’s Champions League quarter-final.

The former England captain was substituted after 69 minutes of last week’s match in Paris and L’Equipe rated him as only three out of 10.

But with midfielder Blaise Matuidi out due to a thigh injury, Beckham could feature at the Nou Camp.

PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti said: “He has a good chance of playing. Some people criticised David, some people were happy with him. I was happy.”

Barcelona will make a late decision on whether Lionel Messi will be fit following the hamstring injury the forward picked up in the first leg.

Juventus host Bayern Munich 2-0 down in the tie. Juve coach Antonio Conte said: “We want to show what we didn’t manage to do in Germany.”
