David Moyes has vowed to give West Ham fans something to shout about at the London Stadium in the second leg of their last-16 tie with Sevilla and has called on them to replicate the deafening atmosphere from Spain.

West Ham suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in the first leg through Munir’s set piece goal as Nikola Vlasic and Manuel Lanzini both saw good chances go begging.

Vlasic headed softly straight at the keeper from five yards while Lanzini allowed Jesus Navas to block his second half effort.

Sevilla were backed by unrelenting noise throughout and Moyes has called for similar backing in Stratford next week.

“For us to come here and be competitive and give ourselves a chance, I hope we have the noise like we heard tonight,” Moyes said.

“It was a great atmosphere and they absolutely dragged their team through it in the second half - it is the way to support your side.

“The crowd drove them on in the second half and got them over the line. We need our crowd to do the same and they will because we will give them something to shout about.”

Moyes added: “We did enough to probably get a draw from the game, we had some chances.

“The Vlasic chance was a huge chance and so was Lanzini’s.

“It is a regular occurrence, we should have got a point at Anfield. We have to turn those good chances into goals.”
