Defeat so cruel on Powell

Charlton manager Chris Powell described his side's 2-0 defeat at Rochdale as "cruel".

The result stretched Charlton's winless run to 11 games, leaving them 12 points short of the play-offs, but Powell insisted they had enough scoring opportunities to have come away with a point.

He said: "We fashioned a lot of chances and the second goal came from a corner that shouldn't have been given. It was cruel as we should have earned at least a point."
