West Ham manager Slaven Bilic believes Dimitri Payet will return from international duty with France "a little taller" after the playmaker made the latest Les Bleus squad.
Payet has been in scintillating form in his debut season in the Premier League, scoring eight goals and creating eight others for the Hammers, since arriving from Marseille last summer, which has contributed to West Ham pushing for Champions League qualification.
Such has been the 28-year-old's performances in England this term that France coach Didier Deschamps included Payet in his France team to play the Netherlands and Russia in the coming week, despite having omitted him from his squad since last June.
Bilic believes Payet fully deserves to play for his nation, and thinks the forward will return to east London with more confidence as West Ham enter into the final period of the campaign where they will hope to secure European football.
"He is happy, we are happy - he deserves it," West Ham manager Bilic told the Daily Mail.
"France have two very good games and hopefully he is going to play in them.
"He will train there with his friends, with top-quality players and coaches and he is going to come back a little taller."
