Don’t blame Manchester United, says Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha says his move to Manchester United is not the reason for his loss of form.

The 20-year-old winger joined the champions for £15million in January but was then loaned back to Crystal Palace for the rest of the season.

Zaha (above) told The Sun: “I’ve had a little dip in my performance since I signed for United, I will not deny that. People are saying it is the speculation of going to United which saw me struggle.

“Robin van Persie went 10 games without scoring but it was one of those things. He was still doing his best and playing a part. Equally, I am desperate to get Palace up.”

Zaha has yet to meet his new team‑mates and added: “When I walk into that United dressing room I have to admit I’ll be a bit starstruck.”
