Eden Hazard has hailed Olivier Giroud as one of the best target men in the Premier League after an impressive full Chelsea debut.
The January arrival from Arsenal was handed a full debut for the Blues, leading the line, and took just 25 minutes to bag a first assist with a neat layoff for Hazard to open the scoring against West Brom.
Giroud lasted an hour, leaving the field of play with a bandage on his head for his troubles, and Hazard is confident about the new signing's impact at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard told Sky Sports: "He's a great target man, maybe one of the best in England, so when we pass the ball we can go around him, not just me but Pedro and Willian when we are playing."
The Belgian scored twice as Chelsea returned to winning ways after back-to-back losses and Hazard highlighted the importance of the squad sticking together through poor runs of form.
He said: "It sometimes happens: you win games, it sometimes happens: you lose.
"Last year we were champions and the most important thing is to be together, to work together, talk together and that's what we did. We showed great character defensively and offensively, that's good.
"We showed a response and we did well in front of our fans, it's always good to play this type of game, now we have two games to play against Hull and against Barca.
"It's not a good moment for us because we lost two games but now we are back, we are Chelsea, we are the champions and we need to give everything."
